J. C. WILLIAMSON’S ATTRACTIONS FOR 1910. PLAYS, GRAND OPERA, AND PANTOMIME. Before leaving for the Noith this morning to arrange for the opening of tho ‘Peter Pan’ tour at Wellington at Easter, Air Bert Royle furnished ‘'Call Boy” with a complete list of the J. G. Williamson attractions for .the Dominion for the balance of tiio present year. Evidently the enterprising Australasian manager has no fear of depressed limes in New Zealand, and has decided to give its people an opportunity of witnessing all his leading attractions immediately after their presentation in the chief centres of tho Commonwealth, that Air Williamson’s enterprise is appreciated by our theatre-goers has been fully demonstrated during tho past few weeks, when record business from Auckland Jo Dunedin was the experience of his ‘King of Ladonia’ Alusical Comedy Company. the attractions for the remainder of tho year are• ‘Peter Pan.’—Headed by Mr Thomas Kingston (Captain Hook) and Aiks Lizette Parkes (Peter). Tour begins at Wellington on Easter Saturday (March 26); thirteen nights. Play overland to Auckland, opening there April 25; Dunedin, May 12 to 18; Oamaru, May 19 ; Christchurch, May 20, for nine nights. Grand Opera (Puccini’s ‘ Madame Butterilv,’ etc.). —Wellington, Alay 19 to June 3 ; thence overland to Auckland ; Dunedin, July 6 to 12; Christchurch to follow for ono week. ‘Aladdin’ Pantomime.—Tour begins at Auckland on August 8, at Wellington on September 1, and at Christchurch on September 16 Performances will be given at Oamaru on September 30 and October 1. Dunedin dates, October 3 to 13, with Invercargill to follow, and on to Hobart. Nellie Stewart in ‘What Every Woman Knows’ and other now pieces.— Auckland, September 5 to 24; Wellington and Christchurch to follow; Dunedin, November 16 to 30, then Invercargill. Air Royle advises that the booking of tho tours has been attended with great difficulty. In the cases of ‘Peter Pan’ and the Grand Opera Company jumps have been necessitated from Auckland right down to Dunedin, and then doubling back to Christchurch. 'I hie, it will be readily understood, means increased expenses to tho management. Arrangements are in progress for tho appearance in the Dominion before cite end of the year of a comedy company, now being specially organised in England for the production of Anstcy’s ‘Brass Bottle,’ but dates have not yet been arranged. Tbe above programme is the best season’s bill of faro furnished by J. C. W. and Co., and it remains with theatregoers to show their appreciation by liberal patronage. In that event New Zealand may continue to look for all the dramatic and musical attractions presented under the firm’s management on the other side.
