" [Pes United Press Association.]" , ( WELLINGTON, December 1. 'lhe Arbitration.' Court in two appeals from- magistrates' decisions., In the first ca6e the appeal was upheld. It was froriT'tho' Cooks and -Stewards' Union against the Union Steam Ship Company,- in reference to payment of' overtime to*.a mess room steward, who worked ou a vessel arriving in the •oadstead of a: port on a Sunday or. a holiday and leaving again the same day. - : In the second case, the Tailors' Unipn v. Kirkcaldie and Stains, the question was whether the firm had distributed certain work on the "teata system." The magistrate held that they had not, and the Arbitration Court held that the matter was one of fact, and bis decision was final. The • union's . appeal was . therefore dismissed; :'■' - " •.- ..
