The ' Daily Chronicle' and the ' Daily News' (Liberal) compare Mr LloydGeorge's speech to those of Mr Chamberlain in his Radical days.

Many Opposition newspapers denounce what they term Mr Lloyd-George's incendiary speech. * ,

The 'Pall Mall Gazette' exposes what it describes as the Chancellor of the Exchequer's " rhetorical falsehoods,*' and infers that Mr Lloyd-George challenges tbe right of evoryono to inherit anything which is not due to personal exertion.

Other Unionist papers complain of Mr Lloyd-George's vindictiveness.

The Radical papers rejoice at the prospect of the undutiful rich being made to contribute their share to the Exchequer. The 'Manchester Guardian' (G.) considers the speech a "first-rate" one.
