SCHOOL FLOWER SHOW
The Maori Hill School Horticultural Society held their first spring flower show yesterday diternoon, when there was a large attendance of parents and children the show, organised by Miss Brown and Mr Bowie, was held m the school, and proved a great success, there being an excellent display of narcissi, primroses, wallflowers, and other spring flowers. Tho button-hole competition was a very keen one. Master Victor Hamel showed (for exhibition only) a collection of narcissi, tulips, and anemones, and this was very much admired. The thanks of the society are duo to Mrs E. A. Hamel, who judged tho buttonholes, and to Mr E. A. Hamel, who judged the other exhibits, and announced his intention of presenting a collection of sweet pea seeds to tho school society. Following is tho prize-list: —Standards IV., V., VI.
