Mr Moses White, who has been manager of the New Zealand Loan Company’s branch at Timaru since 1902, has reamed, and will be relieved at the end of the month. He will be succeeded by Mr F. Barkas, manager at Wellington. “Out Ownwires from Chririchurch; The South Canterbury Rugby Union, the Waimate Sub-union, and the Star Football Club, Invercargill, have forwarded donations to the Deans memorial fund. It is expected that about £l6O will be available for the establishment of a memorial when all the donations have been received. On Wednesday last Mr G. C. Ganna, clerk, railway goods office, was the recipient of a presentation from the staff of the railway goods department on the occasion of hie marriage. Mr Wallace, goods agpt, made the presentation, which ownprised a dinner set and a set of jugs, and on behalf of the staff wished Mr and Mrs Carnie good luck and prosperity. The recipient suitably responded. The Rev. J. Q. A. Henry, D.D,, of New York, the great gospel and temperance preacher of America, intends visiting New Zealand about June next. The ’Southland limes’ states that Mr John Guy, statiomnaster at the Bluff, died yesterday. Mr Guy had been laid aside; for eovoral months with complications arjsing ont of heart weakness, bat his death came somewhat unexpectedly. Mr Guy was a very popular officer in the Southland district, having been stationmaster at Orepuki, Otautan, Pukerau, Kingston, and Edendale, as well as Inglewood, Onehttnga, and New Plymouth in: the North Island,
