SYDNEY. October 7. Tbo agents of the Pacific Phosphates Company received a cablegram to-day advising that their steamer, the Ocean Queen, was wrecked at Makatae, in the Low Archipelago. All aboard were saved, bnt no other details are available.

The Ocean Queen was a new vessel, built s]>ecially for the phosphates trade’ and was on her maiden voyage. She loaded phosphates at Ocean 'island, proceeded to Honolulu, and loft there again early in August for Sydney via Ocean Island.

Mr Arundel, one of the directors of the Phosphates Company, was aboard.
