Sir Robert and Lady Stout left Wellington byi the Marama yesterday • for Sydney on route ior England. Mr J. The conductor (Mr Thomas), who has been for many years a deacon of the Church, and Mr Davies responded on behalf of the visitors, and expressed their pleasure at being so warmly by Baptist friends in Dunedin. Miss Emma Goldman, the Socialist lecturer, ■will shortly leave Sau Francisco to tour Australasia.

At Alcasrs Butterworth Bros.’ warehouse to-day a presentation was made to Air A. S. Do Lautour, who, after four years’ service, is severing his connection* with the linn to proceed to England to take up a course of study. Air Anderson, in handing to Air De Lautour a travelling rug and bag, expressed regret at the departure of the recipient, and on behalf of his associates in the firm wished him every success in his new sphere. Mr De Lautour made a suitable response.
