Dewar (who has just been appointed the Lord Advocate for Scotland) being re-elected. The voting was as follows : Mr A .Dewar, K.C. (Liberal) 8,185 Mr Cox (Conservative) 6 964 [At the General Election in 1906 the returns were: Mr Dewar 8,945, Mr Smith (C.) 5,985.]
