WHITES DESTROY 18 HOUSES. Press Association—Bv Telegraph—Copyright. HOBART, November 7. (Received November 7. at 10.35 a.m.) A committee are organising a torchlight procession through Chinatown. They threaten to destroy it Unless the Chinese vacate it in twenty-four hours. Yesterday a number of white men evicted some Chinese from their farms and burned eighteen houses. The feeling against the Chinese is intense, and is growing.
