(Received June 19, at 8.45 a.m.) A conference of Anglican Churchmen, Catholics, Wesleyans, Methodists, Unitarians, and Jews, convened by the Bishop of Manchester, arrived at the basis of an agreement on the Education Bill. There were a few Nonconformist dissentiente. l)r Clifford condemns the settlement as unjust, and unlikely to secure peace.
