PROPERTY" SALES. Messrs Goerin, Halh-. and Co. report having held an auction sale of City and suburban freehold property on the 4th inst. The first lot offered with the property known as the St. Clair Tea Rooms, corner of Queen Alexandra and Beach streets, St. Clair, consisting of shon and dwellings. The bidding started at £3OO. and quickly rose to £495, at which price it was sold io Mr Henry Nind. Two vacant sections, v.ith frontages to Fawcett and Melbourne streets, South Dunedin, containing 22.4 poles, were sold after spirited competition to Mr K. J. Bryant for the sum of £65. A quarter-acre City freehold section, situate in Castle street, near St. Andrew street, with eight ' dwelling-housee, was also submitted to auction, but failed to reach the owner's idea of value.
