WOOL

.: YESTERDAY'S SALE, v Growers* have every reason to be satisfied* with the prices realised at the first of .the Duncdin scries of wool sales this season. As a general rule an improvement in prices of from 7i to 10 per cent, on last season's best prices can be quoted or a difference, of from Id to.in some cases ljd lb in fawn*, of this year's rates. As a consequence tbo number of lots passed in for private sale afterwards was comparatively - few... There was splendid competition; for the best descriptions of baH-teed and cross-bred woora, but bidding was oomxarati-veiy slack for heavy-eondStioned wasty wools. Pieces and bellies realised excellent prices. Tho range of prices may be ■ -taken- as io&em&s. — December, ..December, r305. 1906.
