[SraciAt, to the Star.] CHR3STCrJURCH. December 21. Local' legal opinion is opposed to tbe proposal to appoint King's counsel in. Now Zealand. The ' Press' also condemns it. Interviewed in regard to tbe new electoral boundaries, the majority of the North Canterbury members objected to the changes that have beo.l made. Mr. Tanner was non-committal. Mr EU, who is not much affected, thinks that the Commission have done their work well, while Mr'.Q. M. Gray considers that he Las come off very luckily. Mr.Laurenson is not entirely eatiefied, while Messrs' G. Witty, R. H. Rhodes, Hardy, and Lewis are greatly displeased.
