' The following is the report • to be presented to the jmnual meeting of members on Friday next:— Your Board have much pleasure in submitting the sixth annual report, togetiwr vith a. statement of rccdpta and expenditure, for the year ended September 12 1906 As will,be soefu by the statement, the. takings at the botiia fell off considerably during the season owing to the extremely cold and wet weather experienced during tho. months of. January, February, March, and April; also to the fact that on several occasions the cement works were closed down; and we could not get any water at the baths. The* membership of the club was about the same as last season, with tho exception of the ladies, who did not attend the baths in .such numbers as in the preceding season. 1 he following schools attended the baths during tho season:—Union, street (boys and girls), North-east Valley (boys), Forbury road (boys), St. Hilda's Collegiate (girls), Girls' High School, Industrial School (boys and girls), and Dr Heinemann'sSchool (boys). Several of the schools did not avail themselves of tjlic privilege during the season, other classes taking up their time. The result was that about 600 children; attended tho baths through tlie schools during the season, and the greater number of them learnt to swim.
