CHRISTCHURCH, September 25. The 'Press' revives the rumor that Sir Hector Macdonald did not commit suicide, hut took service with the Japanese Army. It says: "Wo have been informed that a letter has been received in Christchurch from a gentleman in Vkdivostoek, stating that Macdonald is still living, and is in the employ of the Japanese. The writer states that when he discovered this fact he made some inquiries, and was led to understand that the military authorities at Homo axo awaro of Macdonald's whereabouts."
