A number of the combatants were killed or wounded. DISPERSING THE REBELS. AN ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION. HAVANA, August 23. (Received August 24, at 8.51 a.m.) The troops dispersed Guerra’s band killing and wounding many, but the other revolutionists continue to hold San Luis. An attempt to assassinate General Nunez Governor of Havana, as he was entering his house, failed.
