The following figures, supplied by the secretary of the Mataura Dairy Factory, show that the industry is responsible for suppliers lifting fat cheques :—One supplier, milking 36 cows, sent 18,760ga1, of 10|lh, his cheque for the season amounting to £599 Bs, equal to 5. Id per gallon, or over £ll per cow. Another with 15 cows sent 10,273 gallons, and received a cheque for £202, equal to 4.72 d per galop, or about £l3 10s per cow. A third, with 22 cows, supplied 15.090 gallons, and received a cheque for £265, or nearly £l2 per cow. The Money Club Trustees held their weeklv meeting at Pram, Mitchell, and Co.’s office on Wednesday evening, when loans amounting to £lO5 were granted, and apnlications for thirteen shares were received.
