PRISONERS SENTENCED.

At Auckland yesterday Mr Justice Edwards sentenced prisoners as follows: William Thomas Martin, for a serious offence at Waihi. one year (His Honor taking into consideration the fact that if accused had denied his guilt in the lower court he could not have been convicted); Arthur Galon, a lad, theft and attempted arson, three years on each charge, the sentences to run concurrently; Tupaea Akuahata, procuring personation, three charges, and forgery, five yeans; William Laurie Robertson, theft, twelve months; Ngakeiha Rawheroa. a native woman, forgery and personation, .ordered to come up for sentence when called, the offence being the result of ignorance; William Henry Paxton, burglary and theft, two years.
