A social in connection with the show was held last night, Mr J. A. Park (president of the club) in the chair. Yesterday's attendance at the show was very satisfactory, the numbers surpassing those for the corresponding day of last year. This morning the judging of the cats and children's pets was done with the following results : —Cats.— Persian tabby.—K. Skinner, 1. Stripped tabby.—o. Andrews, 1: Miss K. Slater, 2. Black cat (either sex). —Mrs Wates. 1. Heaviest cat. —Mrs Wates, 1—Miscellaneous.—
Children's pets.—R. Paterson (Indian Rock), 1; J. Clark (white rabbit), 2; N. Haggit (pair guinea pigs), 3; Ivy Cole (pair booted bantams), and W. Urquhart (monkey), v.h.c. : E. The following awards were made for the trophies offered by the New Zealand Orpington Club : Club's trophy value £5 for best Black Orpington in the show (to be won twice in succession, or three times at intervals). —S. C. Kesteven, Christchnrch (cock). Club's trophy value £5 for best Buff Orpington in show (same conditions). J. Stewart, Invercargill (pullet). President's trophy value £5 5s for most points in cockerels and pullets, Buff Orpingtons (same conditions). —J. Stewart, Invercargill.
