finding accommodation for VISITORS. [Special to the Star.] _ CHRISTCHURCH, March 22. In regard to the suggestion from Duneam that an inquiry bureau should be .established in connection with the Exhibition, where visitors can learn where thev can secure accommodation, the ‘ Press"’ points put that it was adopted by the Transport Committee five months ago, and that a sub-committee, known as the Housing Committee, have been engaged in ascertaining what accommodation will be available. They have completed their investigations so far as hotels and hoard-ing-houses are concerned, and are now procuring information as to the number of rooms to bo let' to visitors in private booses. It was intended during the currency of the Exhibition that all trains and steamers should he met, and visitors placed in possession of all necessary information as to lodgings. It is understood, however, that there is a probability of the Tourist Department taking over the whole business of this accommodation. Bureau, in which case the Housing Committee will hand over to them all information they have procured.
