About 1 p.m. to-day a cycSst collided with EQa Riehdala, thirteen year* of age, when crossing Princes street, with the result that she was knocked down and sustained a severe shaking. She was taken to Mr S. S. Bannister'* shop, in High street, and Dr Marshall Maodonald, on receiving intimation of the occurrence, wes promptly on the scene. He found the little girl suffering from shock, but otherwise uninjured and after an interval she hod sufficiently recovered to permit of her being taken in a cab to the residence of a friend. WELLINGTON, October 3. At the inquest held at We'Jington on the body of James M'Ewen, the jury found that deceased died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but were unable to say whether it was accidentally fired.
