AMUSEMENTS.

PRINCESS'S THEATRE. The Anderson Company, in their latest production, 'Through toe Divorce Court,' 'dispel any illusion which may harve been entertained that- as a body they were fit for only the most sensational class of melodrama. The drama at present occupying their attention (a mixture of ' Othello' and 'East Lynne') is really well interpreted, and certainly receives fuE justice at their hands. The step between toe ridiculous and the sublime is never made, and though the feature of toe performance is its consistency, several of the situations are apecdally powerful. The stage effects throughout are of the best, and nothing is spared by the management to give their patrons a fiist-class representation of an interesting domestic drama. The serious work u safely entrusted to Messrs Cross, Cass, Duggan, and the Misses Guildford r and Loonier; while the important comedy work is especially strong as performed by toe Mffises Leighford and Maxwell and Messrs Ward and O'Neal. Last night there was a fine house, and this evening, when 'Through the Divorce Court' is to be repeated, ft wfli be surprising if nearly all the seats are not occupied. THE HARRY PEARCE BENEFIT. A bumper house is expected at toe Alhanibra Theatre to-morrow evening, when a benefit performance will be tendered to Harry Pearce, the well-known Australian athlete, who unfortunately sustained serious injuries in his recent contest with Miclr Pqwley. A strong committee of leading citizens 'have worked up an pro gramme, which 'will inehido feats bv Cameron and Johnstone, the celebrated Scotch champions, who have kindly come forward to help a brother athlete. Members of the Woods-Wilb'amson and Anderson dramati« companies will also contribute items, an<i wfli be supported by the fcllowing_k>cal per. formers:—The Rcxton brothers, Messrs B. Stevens, Percy Moody, F. Whilelow (champion amateur club swmger of Australasia), Herr Paul SonderhoL and others. Lafct, Inr; not. least, Messrs M. Powley and D. M'Laren (who scooped the pool at %be Caledonian sports) wfli give a wrestling exhibition. HIS MAJESTY'S. The Woods-Wniiamsott Company perfoimyd 'The Bondman' again last nt"-ht to a good house in His Majesty's Theatre. The same piece will be presented tonight.
