Later .in the same month Mr Arthur Charleton proceeded overland to Oamarn, taking with him a large waggon, horse, and harness. This waggon was sold by him through the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company. Oamarn, and we understand that the net proceeds—some £6O odd—are lying with that company in the name of Airs Elsie Charleton, the other bankrupt. So far as we know, this is the only money available.” He (the Assienee) had given notice to the New Zealand Lean and Mercantile Company that he claimed the money as belonging to one of the bankrupts. a ~ It was agreed to put the matter in the hands of Air Adams, with a view to prosecuting the bankrupts.
