WELLINGTON, December 1. A deputation representing the' Welling* ton Harbor Board urged the Minister ol Customs to-day to increase the Custom] officials on the wharves, so as to cope with the rapidly-increasing volume of goods. The statement laid before the Minister showed that in the last ten years there had been an increase- in value of imports into Wellington of 130 per cent., that during that period the Customs revenue bad increased by 93 per cent., and that the cost of, collect»n had only increased 0.36 pei cent.
