The Bank of England returns show the Htock of gold coin and bullion to tie £32,664,000, and the reserve £24,104,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 47.25. The notes in circulation total £29,014.000; public deposits, £8,411,000; other deposits, £42,501,000; Government securities, £15,704,000; and other securities. £29,185.000. Three months’ bills, 215-16. Consols are quoted at £BB 2s 6d. Quotations tor colonial Government stocks are subjoined, compared with those ruling a week since:

Butter: Finn all round. There is an increasing demand fur tho best sorts. Banish, 102s to KMs; Now Zealand, 945; New South Wales, 8-4s to 86s; Queensland, 78a to 80s. Cheese: Depressed. White New Zealand, 39s to 40s; colored is practical! v unsaleable.
