SLAPOFFSKI CONCERT COMPANY.
This talented combination will giro 4 series of three concerts in tire Princess’s Theatre, commencing on Wednesday next. We feel sure they Trill prove a success artistically and financially. Pew artistes have aroused the same amount of enthusiasm in the Dunedin public as Madame Slapoffskl daring the over-remembered season of the Musgroye Grand Opera Company, and she is certain of a warm welcome from theatre patrons. The other members of the company will also be fairly judged, and, taking the verdict of the Press upon their various performances, none of them will be weighed in the balance and found wanting. An important item in the advertisement elsewhere is that Herr Slapoffskl is to conduct a firstclass orchestra through two items nightly. These will include selections from ‘ Tanhauser,’ ‘Lohengrin,’ ‘The Flying Dutchman,’ and ‘ Rienzi, 1 and with this selection we do nob think the public will fee? inclined to quarrel
