(Received May 26, at 10.8 a.m.) A deputation of engine-drivers waited on the Commissioner, and asked that the drivers now on the engines be examined, and that those found medically unfit and incompetent be replaced by the'late strikers. The Commissioner promised consideration. The secretary of the Drivers’ Association states that the Canadian Premier had misunderstood their application. They were now communicating with the Canadian railway companies with a view to securing employments
