BOWLING.
The Caledonian Club brought their season to a, close on Saturday, when a number of v,siting bowlers put in an appearance Ihe green was somewhat soft after the recent rain, and as a cold, strong northwesterly was blowing it was decided, after a few ends had been played, that the afternoon could be more pleasantly spent in the club s fine pavilion. Mr J. A. Kirbv (vice-president) thanked the visitors for their attendance. Replies were made by Mr A. Gillies (Dunedin) and Mr P C Corliss (Kaituna), both referring to the unvarymg hospitality of the Caledonian Uub to any bowlers who might visit their j 6l )' Cheers for the Caledonian Club and for Mr and Mrs Greenalade were given before the company dispersed.
