England first, Ireland second, Scotland third, and Wales fourth was the order of finishing the International Cross-country Race at Glasgow on March 28. That was precisely in accordance with anticipations, says a London paper. So was the position of individual winner occupied by the South London harrier, A. Shrubb, to whom the pools of water at various parts of the course seemed to make no difference, for he covered the eight miles in 46min 221 sec. J. J l . Daly (Ireland) made a good fight of it for the first few miles, and jumped splendidly, but in the latter part of the journey he was worn down and beaten by the Manchester harrier, T. Edwards. A. Aldridge and S. J. Robinson, both of Enpland. ran fairly well, but not in their very best form. Some details will be found below. Result:

Committee, in their annual report, state that the revenue from nearly all sources shows an appreciable increase, the exception bging in the nominations and acceptances, which show a reduction of £2BB. This reduction was caused by the Committee deciding to reduce the entry and acceptance fees in preference to increasing the stakes. The wisdom of this policy is shown by the results, as the Committee estimated that the reductions proposed would result in a loss of revenue from this source of £BOO, whereas the lo*s as indicated is only £2BB-a reasonable sign that the policy of low nomination foes has been appreciated by owners. The water supply has been completed, and contracts have been entered into for increasing tne stand accommodatioa *

The Y.M.C.A. Harriers hold their first F f L ™ h - e Se ?nl on on Spunky afternoon, at St. Clair. The course will be from the tram line east, round Forbury Park and back to the starting place. Granted a fine day, a good race will result, as a large number of entries have been received.
