WELLINGTON, May 19. A woman named Sarah M'Dougal was sentenced to four days’ imprisonment for assaulting the defendant in a civil action during the hearing in the Magistrate’s Court. She was claiming £4, and when the defendant began to call witnesses to disprove her statements she attacked him with her fists and overpowered him with her height. After being sentenced she again attacked and pummelled him.
