• —' -♦■ The sale of work m connection with the Presbyterian Church at Green Island was continued on Saturday afternoon with marked success, and in the evening a concert was given to finish up with, and it was attended by large numbers in spite of the drain which the bazaar had made on the people's purses. An excellent programme was prepared, and judging from the rounds f>f. applause given each performer it was cell appreciated by the audience. Encores cere given to the Miss Aldred <pianoforte alo), Miss Prentice ('A May morning'), lr Graham (for his rendering of ' The' Skip\r'), Mr Kennard ('Mv sweetheart when a £'}, and Mr Young (for a Scotch recitami entitled 'Wee Johnnie Paiterson'). The r veshment stall was kept open during the e Vng, and thoae present were invited to jJXI themselves of it during the interval. Til accompaniments were played by the Mifes AJdred, Blair, and Heinemann, the latt playing for Mrs Snowball when she gEV'her violin solo, which was much apprected. During the evening the chairir.an'Dr Will) read a statement of accoi3n\ which showed a cash balance of =ol'2vj anc i unsold goods' amounting in valuep about £ls. He also thanked all those ho had so willingly worked for and contnVed to the success of the bazaar, roakinipeciai mention of the Misses Prentice ante. Blair for their untiring efforts for thetoduction of the cantata. At the conclusi the audience rose and sang a verse ofW National Anthem.
