OTAGO A. AND P. SOCIETY.

ANNUAL HORSE PARADE. The entries for the horse parade to be held at Tahuna Park on Thursday next, October 2, which closed on Saturday evening, are very large—namely, forty-six—-being three more than the total of last year. In the aged stallion class the competition will be very keen indeed, there being twenty-three entries, the property of wellknown breeders from Canterbury to Invercargill, the total value of which would run into a big sum. In the three-year-old stallion class there will be some splendid young horses pitted against each other, and competition is certain to be keen. In the light-horse classes, also, great interest will be taken, especially so in the trotting stallion class, where the entries 'are good. The parade will commence at eleven o'clock sharp, at Tahuna Park, and all arrangements have been made for the convenience of the public and the exhibitors. A refreshment booth will be on the ground, and a light luncheon obtainable. The Committee feel confident that, given fine weather, the parade should prove the most successful yet held by the society. Appended is ;» comparative list showing the entries for 1901 and 1902: 1901. 1902.
