THE CAPE PARLIAMENT.
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. GAPE TOWN, September 25. Dr Smartt, the leader of the Progressives, on resumption of the debate on Mr De Waal’s motion, strenuously assailed the Bond, and challenged it to condemn the rebellion. He would rejoice if the Bond recognised that the issue of supremacy was settled. Meanwhile loyalists would not be mesmerised into false security. [No information has been receiyed of this motion. The recent business before the House was Mr Merriroan’s motion condemning the proposed suspension of Hie C«ftstitntion, and this was carried without a division.]
