The Assembly adopted Mr Sampson’s (member for Albany) motion in favor of an extension of the powers of the Royal Commission appointed by the Imperial Government. Mr Mcrriman and the Bondites opposed the motion. (Received September 25, at 9.5 a.m.)

Sir G. Sprigg (the Premier) stated that the Imperial Government are not likely to consent to any extension of the powers of the Commission.
