North Island butter is not in over-supply in this market, and where heavy stoilts were held a week ago practically none is obtainable, and only fairly small supplies are coming forward. Is net being the present price. Farmers’ butter is beginning to come forward more plentifully, selling at to lid net. Eggs are not coming‘forward very freely, and have advanced to 10d per dozen. Fruit Sales.—At to-day’s fruit sales amongst ihe lots offered was some very poor stuff, a proportion being in a soft cond.tion. The principal lines were Hobart apples, and these were mostly culls again, and more or less soft. Fairly good S.urmers brought up to. 6s 6d a case, and inferior from 4s to 5s 6d. New; Zealand lemons, of which there are more than full supplies on the market, brought. 4s to Ss 1 er case. Pineapples were again suburb ted, and appeared to hi, if'anyth.ng, on the soft side, realising from 8s 9d to lla. Oranges (repacks) realised 5a to 5s 6d per 6in case, and 7s lor 9in cases.'
