It IS proposed, as a reward for good con duct, to give a penny weekly as 'pocket money, during a period of six months to each child in the homes for defective children controlled by the Metropolitan Asylums Board (London). J A centenarian is reported to have died at Koroit (Victoria) on September 4, in the person of Miphael Ryan. who . was in his lOlafe year. He was bom in County Glare, Ireland, and- arrived in Victoria in 1854.
