The Taieri and Peninsula and Civil Service met on the North Ground yesterday, and after a very interesting game victory rested with the former by 8 points to nil Tries were scored by A. Polwarth and F. Johnson, and B. Dey kicked a goal. The winners ore and all played a good game, while A. Fordvce, D. Torrance, Clancy, and Thompson played well for the losers/ The Butchers met and defeated the Betailers Bat Opoho by 6 points to nil. The Butchers plavcd a fa’rly good game from beginning to end. Tries were scored by J Sinten and J. S. Botting, Mi- J. Dey was referee.
