The Bank of England returns show that tho stock of coin and bullion is £54,559,000. The bank reserve is £25,954,000, the proportion of reserve to liabilities being 48.24. The total of notes in circulation is £28,734,000; public deposits, £14,078,000; other deposits, £39,432,000; Covernxnent securities, £17,274,000; and other securities, £28,665,000.

Three months bills are discoursed at 2$ pea* cent. Quotations for colonial Government stocks are subjoined, compared with those ruling at the close of last week :

Wheat: English and American markelz firm, but inactive; Continental dull; France weaker. Cargoes dull and unchanged, buyers holding off. Butter very firm; Colorjal, 110s; occasional lots, 112s.
