We acknowledge the receipt from Messrs Seegner, Langguth, and Co., of Auckland, of a copy of the 1902 diary issued by the Allgemeinc Elektiicitats-Geseilschaft, of Berlin.
From Whiteombe and Tombs we have received popular editions of ‘The Descent of Man’ and ‘The Origin of Species.’ Both are printed in excellent typo on good paper,, and the -rice of publication brings them within tho reach of everyone. The January rumber of the ‘Windsor’ contains the concluding chapters of Hail Caine’s powerful story ‘ Unto the Third and Four Generations ’; an account of the Egyptian pyramids, by John Ward, F.S.A. ; while A. Kemp details the methods of the Customs officials In England; and Frank Holmfield describes the marvellous feats of a couple of Americans with ordinarv balls. The lighter material is supplied by H. C. Bavlev. Henry Hering, Richard Marsh, and Cuteliffe Hyrue.
