MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES
The Star of Kaikorai Juvenile Cool Templars held their second meeting on Saturday evening; Bro. Watson, C.T., Sisters Whale and Randle superintendents. Eleven candidates were initiated. Committees for the quarter were elected, and conditions of the essay competition (subject: ‘ Wliat Effect has Drinking upon Worldly Prosperity’) were announced. The District Superintendent gave an address, and a programme was contributed by Sisters Watson and L, Wilkinson (songs), duets by Bros. Wilson and Wilkinson and Sisters Grieve and Forman, recitations by Sisters Smith and Strachan. A vote was passed to the visitors, and responded to by Bio. Burden (Alliance Lodge), Bro. Fusion (Guiding Star Juveniles), and the District Superintendent.
