MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES

At the Albany street Hall last week a ‘ social” was tendered by Rath, Rebekah Lodge to Sis. M. G. ileid (late treasurer) on the occasion of her approaching marriage and departure from Dunedin. The entertainment consisted of a progressive michre party, in which a large number took part. Representatives were present from Linda and Miriam Rebekah Lodges, also Pioneer, Leith, Linden, and Unity Lodges, as well as from Unity (Otaki) and Invercargill Lodges Harmony was contributed by Bro. Ovens. Daring the evening P.N.Q. Sis. Chapman presented Sis. Reid with an enlarged photograph of the lodge officers, and wished her every happiness in her new sphere. Sis, Hemslcy, P.N.G., presented her with a dressing case suitably inscribed. Q.B Bro. Wm. Reid responded on behalf of Ida daughter. The Loyal Caversbam Lodge, M.U.,held their fortnightly meeting at Caversham mi Wednesday, N.G. Bro. W. Adams presiding. There was a good attendance. After business, the following brothers contributed items:—P.G. Hoad, P.G. HE, P.G. Lawry, P.G. Bevm, P.G. Wilson, N.G. Adams, V.G. Souness, Bro. Hardy, Bro. Kearpey, and Bro. Sainsbury.
