Another 700 bales will finish her loading, and she should get away in the middle of next week. Under ordinary circumstances, the ship Auckland should complete discharging operations on Saturday next. Napier has been definitely fixed as her loading port fur London, and Captain James expects to get clear of this port about Tuesday >r Wednesday next. Cable advices from Sydney intimate that he Talune sailed at 4 p.m. on Saturday ast for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dun?d:n. She is due at. the first-named port :o-morrow and at Dunedin on the following .Saturday. The Whangape left Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin at 5 p,in. jesterday. She is expected here on Wedr.esday or Thursday of next week. The Wanaka is to leave the Bluff at five this evening for Dunedin. The Upolu left New Plymouth at nine last night for Wellington and Southern ports. The Kotuku is due at Westport this afternoon from Picton. Mr Ormiston, late chief engineer of the Waihora, is to join the Rotorua. Mr R. M'Kenzie, chief officer of the Moura, will go Home shortly to captain the new steamer now nearing completion at Port Glasgow for tlje M'Gregor Steamship Company on her voyage to this colony. Mr E. Sinnot, mate of the Rob Roy, will leave by the Hawke's Bay, sailing" for London at an early date. He will be chief officer of the new steamer. Those passing in the vicinity of Kartigi will now observe that the Italian ship Antioco Accame, which stranded on the beach a few months ago, has almost disappeared, only a small portion of her stern showing above'water. The secretary of the Napier Harbor Board lias beeu instructed to make out accounts against the local steamboat owners for port charges and berthage for the past six years, which they have escaped payment. It is understood that the purchasers of Ihe stranded Danish barque Alexandra intend to make a close inspection of the vessel and see whether ifc is possible to have her relaunched. So far the seas have not done much further damage to the vessel. It is expected that the machinery for !he Greymouth tug Westland will be on hand about the end of next month. It. will take a couple of months to fit the vessel up, which will then be one of the best of her class in the colony. At the present time the Greymouth Harbor Board engineering staff are busy surveying and getting up all data necessary for lagoon dredging and docks which are now under the consideration of the Board. A RECORD TONNAGE.

The tonnage of vessels handled by pilots to and from Wellington wharves last month was 140,570 tons, which is a record for tlie Northern port. A RECORD-BREAKER. The Rotomahana is again to the fore with some fast steaming. This coastal greyhound left Wellington on Friday evening last at 7.40, and arrived at Lyttelton at 7.6 a.m. the next day, thus making the journey in llh 26min, which constitutes a record. The previous record was llh 39min, also held by the Rotomahana. The intercolonial steamer Warrimoo left Wellington also on Friday evening for Lyttelton and Dunedin, and the Rotomahana. beat her by 26min. THE DIRECT STEAMERS. This evening the Waikato will be clear of the Dunedin portion of her inward cargo, and she sails to-morrow for Lyttelton. Some wool and general cargo have been taken aboard at the Port. In about ten days hence the New Zealand Shipping Company's Rakaia is due at the Port to ship frozen meat and general cargo. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. AUCKLAND, February 4.—KILS.
