He returns" to Wellington immediately thereafter, and goes on to Lyttelton to attend Iho send-off to the South Island spction <>f the Eighth Contingent. Sir J. G. Ward proceeds to Lyttelton on Thursday to be present at this function, and then goes on to Invercargill, proceeding to Auckland vi;i Cheviot and Blenheim.
