WELLINGTON, January 23. The recommendations of the Tramway Committee, which will come tip for consideration at a special meeting of the City Council on Saturday night, include a proposal for a fast service at stated hours of the day between the city and Newtown, and the taking of the main line along the water frontage. The Committee are highly pleased with the comprehensive report submitted by the new electrical engineer, who, though but a, short time in the colony, has thoroughly grasped all necessary requirements in connection with the proposed new services.
