DUNEDIN FANCIERS' CLUB

At a committee meeting held last evening a.t Mr S. S. Myers's rooms, Octagon, it was resolved that the definition of rules in the prize schedule for the forthcoming show be altered in respect to novice class to read: " For all dogs that .have not won a first prize up to the time of entries closing." instead of. as formerly, '• to time of judging such class." Sub-committees having reported upon proposed alteration in the"schedules in the various classes, it was resolved that their recommendations be adopted. These consisted chiefly in the addition to the classes. In dogs the new classes are -. Fox terriers, dogs under twelve months, bitches under twelve months, dogs a.nd bitches under twelve months: novice class and brace spaniels. In canaries, one class was arranged for li/.ard golden class, for cock or hen, and another for silver ditto; one for Yorksliires, clear yellow or buff, and Another for Yorkshires of" other varietjes. In poultry, classes were added for white Plymouth Rocks and buff Orpingtons. It was reaorved.that the secretary be instructed to write Mr' Maude asking him to judge the dog section, ys well as the poultry, "as he did last year: that Mr Lusrom.be. be asked to again undertake the canaries ; and that the .secretary be instructed to publish -ne names of the judges for the various sections in the schedule.
