A London message states that consols are quoted at £99 10s. At the half-yearly meeting of the Bank of Victoria the report showed that the profits were £28,500. (Received July 18, at 9.45 a.m.) The balance-sheet of the Union Bank for the half year shows the deposits to be £15,793,602, cash investments £5,069,246, and bills and securities £15,412,707. The directors report that the entire reserve had been invested in Imperial Government securities.
