ENTERTAINMENTS.

A large audience filled the Choral Hall lust night, wh*n the second monthly concert was given by Pioneer of Dunedin Lodge. The Rev. W. A. Sinclair presided; supported by Bro. J. Miickay, C.T., Bro. Macfarlane, D.D.G.C.T., and Bro. D. C. Cameron, G.S. \ ocal items were well rendered b7 Messrs J. L. Salmoud, W. Fowler, Errington, and Neil Black, Mrs J. Macdonald, Hayward, and Miss Fletcher, all of whom were heartily received, encores being very frequent. Mr W. Fowler played a flagcolct'solo, which was highly appreciated ; a piano duet was well played by Herr Paul Sonderhof and Miss Fuller; and an orchestra, comprising Messrs Amos (piccolo). Phillips (cornet), B. A. De Lautour (violin), and Hcrr Sonderhoff (piano), contributed selections. Miss Hall recited in a most impressive manner ' Home, sweet home,' with musical effects, and received a very well-deserved encore. Kerr Paul yonderhof was the accompanist. The chairman delivered a short, stirring temperance address, bearing on the good work done by Good Templars, and intimated his intention of joining the Order. The DDG C T moved a very hearty vote of thanks to "all who had assisted, which was seconded bv the G.b. and carried with hearty applause. A most successful concert was closed by the singing of the National Anthem.
