THE SAMOAN EXPEDITION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Touching that protest against our volunteers going to Samoa, of which your paragraph speaks, it is quite the case that Mr Bolt declined to put it to the meeting, and he was no doubt within his rights as chairman in doing so; but it is equally true that the meeting, as far as I could judge, were all but unanimous in its favor. And no wonder, the thing is as absurd as it would be immoral.—l am, etc., William Hutciiisox. Dunedin, April 7.
