The course adopted is from the export wharf to Boiler Point and back. One of the features of this year’s regatta will be the evening’s display. The Committee are using every means to make ‘t a success. It is intended to hold an aquatic torchlight procession and pyrotechnic display, which will be accompanied by music. Entries for the Dunedin Amateur Athletic Clubs sports close this evening. Entries nave already been received from South Canterbury and many districts of Otago. The final heat of the Thomson Pours (Otago Rowing Club) was rowed last evening, E. Priest’s crew defeating Munro’s by two lengths. A London cablegram states that Merman is quoted at 10 to 1 for the November Handicap at the Manchester meeting.
