PALMERSTON NORTH, November 17. The weather is threatening for the people’s day of the showy but up to eleven o’clock it WAS fine, And 5? not expected. The attendance to day is splmiid, crowds arriving by special trains, conveyances, etc , and the sho# ground is fast becoming filled with visitors. The arrangements are being carried out in an excellent manner, bat no further results are at present available. The Governor and the Premier arrived on the ground at mid-day and were welcomed by the president.
